Who needs a truck?

Who needs a truck?

My Uncle Brett sent me an email the other day that contained some pictures of interesting ways hunters get their game home. The creativity of these hunters cracked me up! I always love it when we pack for the hunt and then step back and take a look at the truck and realize we have no room for an animal if we get one. Shane and I had a similar experience after our first successful hunt and had someone taken a picture of us we could have easily been... [Read More...]

Congratulations Neville on the Successful Elk Hunt!

Congratulations Neville on the Successful Elk Hunt!

We received this story from one of our favorite readers Neville B. Yazza. I love hearing from other hunting addicts about how they are raising the next generation of hunters. Neville has done a fine job with his son and I would love to have him guide me on a hunt after seeing what he helped his Dad bring down. Congratulations Neville on the successful hunt! It was a nice Oct. morning, Bulls in the peak of a  awesome rut. We were hunting here in... [Read More...]

The Circle of Life…

The Circle of Life…

My Uncle Brett sent me these pictures today and I thought I would share them with you. It would be incredible to witness a fight like this between two bulls! This is a bull that was found on the Uinta County Youth Camps property, originally called in as poaching. I have never seen such carnage, the dead bull had blood and chunks of fat and hide on his antlers leaving me to believe the victor may have hobbled off and died elsewhere. The ground was... [Read More...]

The runt of the litter…

The runt of the litter…

My Dad emailed me this Buck today and I had to share it with the fellow Hunting Addicts. I loved this quote from the original email “he said there were tow or three big one and he got the smaller one! Nice Buck!”. I would love to see the other bucks if that was the small Muley in the group. I can’t wait until I have pictures of a buck that I harvested making the rounds in email accounts around the world!  Read More →

Gun Rights!

Gun Rights!

OK so I just spent a week up at Scout Camp teaching boys ages 12-18 how to properly use archery equipment and rifles. It was a great experience. The majority of the boys have never even shot a gun or a bow. I took my son up with me for the whole week and he took up his .22 Cricket single shot as well as his bow. He is 6 years old and I have taken him shooting before but this was the first time he got to spend an entire week shooting. I think he may... [Read More...]
