Is there a more exciting feeling in the world than hearing an elk and knowing what lies ahead to go after it?! Preparing for every possible scenario can quickly get out of hand. This hunting buddy is always the most fun to hunt with! A whitetail guy and a mule deer guy can agree on the weather, the gear, and how the season's going. The fight starts the second someone counts the antlers. Told her other guys my age buy a motorcycle or a boat. I just want a slightly better rangefinder and eleven days off work. We've split the gas money, blamed each other for blown stalks, and agreed never to speak of the last archery season. Didn't ask his last name for three years. Nobody has a clue what we are laughing about, we can't properly tell the story, and those moments are some of the best memories. Didn't used to think about it. Now I notice it in the little things. The climb takes longer, the kid carries more, and the truck heater feels better than it should. May the best man win! Haha, there is something really exciting about the race to the best spots every year. If you are willing to hike far enough, this becomes less of a problem...
