Every year I tell my buddy to be ready for the first real cold morning. Every year he ends up on a ridge at 6 a.m. in a hoodie, glassing with numb hands, telling me he's fine. We both know my idea will lead to some great stories... while covering a lot of ground! Nothing beats a plan that finally comes together! Nothing can slow me down when I am trying to get an evening hunt in! I have seen a lot of posts lately of hunters showing up late, seeing other hunters in the area, and still choosing to hunt right next to them. I am a calm person, but if you mess with my hunt, I get fired up quickly! The hardest thing I do all year. Can’t wait to do it again. I’ve stopped trying to explain to those who don't get it why I keep going back every year. Why is it so easy to tell when a hunter is making up stories?! Haha, I actually love listening to the crazy stories. Very entertaining! Have to get experience sometime! Tag your buddy who insists on trying out a new reed for the first time while hunting. “You can’t be lost if you don’t want to be found.” He didn’t think that was as funny as I did.
