We are based out of Salt Lake City, UT and lately it has been incredible outside. Last weekend I was out Bar-B-Queuing in my shorts for our Super Bowl party. While I don’t think the nice weather will last for long, I will remain optimistic that Spring is just around the corner.
The reason I can’t wait for spring is that I can’t wait to get outdoors again and start target practicing. I have a couple of regrets from last season and I can’t wait to get out and try to redeem myself this year. I hurt my shoulder last January and it never felt right during the hunt. It limited my time that I was able to practice last summer and it is finally feeling back to 100%.
What do you do in the Spring to ensure you are ready for the fall? I am looking for some good ideas that I can use to increase my chances of dropping an Elk or Deer this year.
I can’t lie – I have been thinking about Spring, because I can’t wait to go after some longbeards. But those thoughts are short-lived, especially after the foot of snow that got dumped on us yesterday.
It has been strange watching the news reports back east about the snow since it has been so nice here. Every night when I leave work it is light outside, the sun is out and the temperature is getting warm. Then I watch the news at night and you guys are getting buried with snow. I am sure we will get a storm tonight and I will have this post to thank for it.
