Unlike Travis’s story. I’m talking about hunting sites. I really just wanted to use that title to poke some fun.
Last Friday I took my son up with me to go and check our sites and set up my digital camera. We had a lot of fun and it was good to spend time with him. He is only 5 now so not old enough to actually come hunting with me. We usually wait until they are at least 8 years old before they get to come up on the hunt. Taking him with me on these little outings exposes him to the outdoors as well as the preparation needed. We learned his legs need to get a little longer to get over some of the logs. He took a few somersaults down the hill. The spots looked like they were getting a lot of traffic, my salt licks were still wet from this morning. And there were no Bear tracks, which gave me comfort in placing my camera. I hope to go back up there tomorrow and see what photos we have. I will make sure to share them, until then STAY ADDICTED!!!

I’m sure he’ll make quite a hunting buddy in a few years. Actually, even now, though he can’t hunt, I’m sure he’ll still make a great hunting buddy.
Make sure you share some pictures.

I think it’s great your taking your son out and showing him what’s involved in hunting. Sounds like you had some fun too.
