]]> $1,500 reward to help stop poaching in San Juan County - Addicted to Hunting

There are some poachers in San Juan County that the DWR needs some help stopping. They have shot several bulls, a couple of does and a nice buck.

A 31-inch, 4×4 buck mule deer was illegally poached in San Juan County, and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resourcesis seeking the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible.

The buck was found on March 10 by a Blanding resident who contacted DWR officers.

The poaching occurred southeast of the White Mesa Mill near the Black Mesa Butte Road. Although the deer was shot within the last few months, it did not die immediately. Evidence suggests that the deer may have lived two to four weeks before dying from its injuries.

The DWR is offering a reward of $1,500 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for illegally killing the deer.

A Magna man and a Pleasant Grove woman were arrested after officials with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources found remains of more than 20 illegally harvested animals at three homes and a business along the Wasatch Front earlier this week.

Poachers are the scum of the Hunting world and every time I hear about Poachers I get a pit in my stomach. The Utah DWR has been busy with Poachers lately and I want to thank them for all of the hard work they do to clean up the mountains for all of us avid Hunters.

Five members of a West Valley, Utah family now face a list of felony charges in relation to a wildlife poaching ring. You can read all about these Scum bags by clicking here.

These dirt bags have been caught by the DWR and will be spending some time behind bars! Also, their hunting privileges have been revoked for 10 years. I think it should be a lifetime ban, but 10 years will have to do.

I am so sick of Poachers and their blatant disregard for the law. One way that I have decided to discourage others from poaching is to start a Poaching Wall of Shame. I have seen DWR Wall of Shames at every Hunting convention I have ever attended. It drives me nuts that these clown think they can Poach and get away with it. I love it when the DWR finds these dirtbags and they are punished the way they should be. We just had a case in Utah where 4 men were found with 18 trophy racks that they had poached. This is a warning to all Poachers, once you are caught we will do everything we can to make sure everybody knows who you are! You will be an embarrassment for the rest of your life and anytime someone searches your name we hope they find you on the Addicted to Hunting Wall of Shame!
