I am proud to introduce my little hunting buddy to all of the Hunting Addicts! Hunter is here, and I could not be more proud to be his father! He is a tank at 9 lb’s, this will come handy when we are dragging deer out together in a couple of years. He is healthy and strong and I could not be happier! I have already explained to him where our hunting spot is, and told him all sorts of hunting stories. I love it because unlike many other people that I tell my hunting stories too, he just sits there quietly and listens to me. He will even watch my Hunting videos with me, and doesn’t complain once. He came at the perfect time of year as well. He will get to celebrate his birthday, then go hunting, then football starts. It is the greatest time of the year, and my little Hunter is finally here to enjoy it with me.
His big sister Lexi is very excited that her little brother is here, she is very proud of him. Whenever someone comes over she gets really excited to show them the baby. She has given him lots of hugs and kisses. and has even tried to feed him some of her favorite foods. We will have to watch her very closely, so she doesn’t literally love him to death. Lexi is such a cute girl and I am very proud to be her Dad! The other day she gave me hope that she will be with us when we go out hunting. I turned around and she had found my hunting hat and she was wearing it proudly! She is absolutely adorable, and whatever she chooses between hunting and pedicures, she will always be my princess.
It is great to be a Dad to two great hunting buddies! Thanks for all of your comments and support. I have had a lot of time to reflect on my experiences with my Dad and I have come to the conclusion that my favorite part of hunting is my hunting group. Even when we struggle all day, don’t see anything on the opener, miss shots and freeze our butts off there is no place I would rather be. I have had a blast hunting through the years with my Dad and brothers and I can’t wait for our group to get even bigger as our kids get old enough to hunt! Whether we fill our tag, or not it is great to get out and enjoy the outdoors with great company.
Enough of the cheesy talk, it is time to get ready for my opener tomorrow. I can’t wait to get up on the hill and hopefully see some deer. My brother and Dad were able to go up this morning and I have been getting updates from them. Jason jumped a 5×5, and 4×4 first thing this morning, and he also had a Black Bear stroll by at about 80 yards. We will have more stories soon!

That is completely awesome. Congrats. Two great kids you have there.
I have a little one coming in the middle of our hunting season as well. Our first one and I can’t wait.
Great stuff. I love hunting with my family as well and I can’t wait to have kids to pass my love of outdoors too. It is going to be awesome.

Congratulations!
I have to agree that one of the reasons I like hunting so much is the company I keep while hunting. Hunting is just more special when you can share it with someone close to you.
