I was reading Travis's article about the young author, Andrew Wible. It got me thinking, why do we hunt? What get's you out there at 4am, dressed in camo freezing your tail off but excited to have the cance to be there.
I think there are as many reasons as there are hunters. For me each time, each year may bring a different reason. I started out going to spend time and bond with my in laws, I wasn't a hunter before I married into the family. I love the spiritual side of it. Seeing such beautiful country and knowing that God's hand created it, that his blessing allowed me to enjoy it. I enjoy the challenge of the hunt. I enjoy getting out for so many reasons but bottom line if you took away all the other reasons the one thing that would keep me out there is the time spending with good friends and family. I love a lot about hunting but with out friends and family to share it with it would loose it's appeal.
So what are you addicted? What makes you do insane things in an effort to bag your animal?
